Name: Remus John Lupin
Age: 32
Occupation: Currently a tutor at Hogwarts however this is just a cover for his work with the Order.
Former house: Gryffindor
Blood Status: Half Blood
Wand: Dragon Heartstring, Willow
Human
Werewolf
Typical clothing: Remus' clothing consists of mostly blazers and dark pants. His clothing is covered in patches due to his poverty.
Known family: A mother of Muggle parenting and a full blooded wizarding father; Remus is an only child.
Personality: Remus is a kind-hearted easy going man. Good natured and strong hearted, Remus has been able to fend off collapsing at the prejudice because of his condition. Perceptive and intelligent, Remus can sense a lot of things including other's feelings and also signs in the air. Remus has some deep seeded shame and insecurity stemming from being a werewolf. Remus is also rather brave (hence being sorted into Gryffindor instead of Ravenclaw where one might expect him to be placed due to his wit) and often shows this bravery to protect his friends. Righteous and a (usually) a follower of the rules, Remus will not settle for injustice or bullying.
Brief history: Remus was bitten by a werewolf at a very young age after his father offended the werewolf Fenrir Greyback. Remus' transformations were painful and his parents worried he wouldn't be able to attend Hogwarts because of his condition. However, a kindhearted Dumbledore saw something in the boy and let him attend the school. At school Remus excelled and even made a few friends most notable James Potter, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew. Remus was brought to the shrieking shack to transform. Remus kept his lycanthropy a secret until his second year when his friends discovered what was going on. They didn't shun him as he thought and they became animagi in order to keep Remus company.
Remus was financially supported by his friend James but after he died, it was difficult for him to get by. However when the Order of the Pheonix arose from the ashes (pun intended) he was quick to join up to help stop Voldemort. During Harry's first year at Hogwarts, Voldemort escaped and was able to resurect himself. Remus knew the Order would need to protect Harry and so Dumbledore hired him as a tutor for students, although it was just a cover to keep an eye on Harry. Since he has no official office, Remus must return to the shack once a month to transform although thanks to Snape the transformations are less painful. He now tutors students but keeps a watchful eye on Harry as well.
Sample: Remus ran his fingers through his hair and breathed out a sigh. It was dawn, the morning before his transformation was set to begin. Leaning back in his chair he let his hand slip down his face in annoyance. If only he could just skip it for a night. But there was no skipping this; his curse, his disease, his affliction. He'd kept up appearances, made sure that he trimmed his facial hair, combed his hair back and kept his clothes as nice as they could be. However the male was not able to push off the monthly transformation.
He grunted slightly, folded back strand of his hair and straightened up. Frowning he grabbed a book and descended the stairs of the teacher's lounge to the bedroom Dumbledore had given him. He climbed into bed and started to read, softly drifting to sleep after a few pages.
